Move Over Veuve Clicquot!

There is a new Sparkling Champagne Rosé that towers over the infamous Veuve Clicquot Brut Rosé!

The Ployez- Jacquemart Rosé is a luscious exciting expression of Champagne. This is a summer hit but honestly, I would drink it year round, it's that good!

Appearance- Right out of the bottle you notice this shimmering light salmon pink wine. It has a hint of a golden hue to it that makes it almost to pretty to consume, but I did it anyway!

“If you ever had the pleasure of enjoying true Champagne you know what Cava, Prosecco, and any other sparkling wine is trying to accomplish. Although those categories are amazing in their own right Champagne is where it is at! Now take what you love about Champagne, add it with what you love about Rosé, now enhance the experience by 10 and you have the Polyez-Jacquemart Brut Rose! This wine is composed of 37% Pinot Noir 13% Pinot Meunier 50% Chardonnay and is done RIGHT!

Nose: The aroma is intoxicating like walking into a bakery first thing in the morning after baking brioche, croissants, or some other buttery, indulgent bread. Right after you will enjoy mild strawberry, and grapefruit on the nose.

Palate: I enjoyed mild bubbles upon entry, which I like and is a sign of true Champagne. Sometimes sparkling wines can be powerful with the fizz and that's ok, but normally I like the bubbles subtle. This lets me know that that there was finesse when fermenting the wine. I then enjoyed nice acid, great minerality, and a soft finish. The notes were apparent with strawberry, lychee, and a hint of kiwi. Very refreshing served at 45 degrees, making it the perfect summer wine!

Food I Enjoyed with this Wine

I enjoyed this wine with a beautifully cooked Chilean Sea Bass. Seasoned with garlic, parsley, cracked pepper, paprika, thyme and onion salt. Pan fried rice and delicious braised collard greens with sliced red and green peppers.

Feel free to pair smoked salmon, lemon shrimp, cold cuts and duck with this wine.
